Description

Quick and easy apple fritters perfect for babies and the whole family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium apple (honeycrisp or fuji), grated
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • Oil or butter, for frying
  • Optional: Chopped nuts, vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Grate the apple until you have about 1/2 cup of grated apple.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the grated apple, egg, flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Mix until just combined.
  3. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add enough oil or butter to coat the bottom.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, leaving space between each fritter. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Remove from the pan and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  6. Let cool for a minute before serving warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for 1-2 months. Reheat in the oven or air fryer.
