Ingredients

  • ¼ cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg white
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 225°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until combined.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk the egg white, water, and vanilla extract until light and foamy.
  4. Toss the pecan halves into the egg white mixture until coated.
  5. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the pecans and stir until well coated.
  6. Pour the pecans onto the prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer.
  7. Bake for 60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  8. Cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.
