  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: In a bowl, mix the warm water, sugar, and instant yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Make the dough: Combine flour and salt in a mixing bowl, create a well, and add olive oil and yeast mixture, kneading until smooth.
  3. Let it rise: Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) during the rising time.
  5. Shape your pastries: Punch down the dough, divide into small balls, and roll into circles.
  6. Mix the cheese filling: Stir cheeses with black pepper and oregano in a separate bowl.
  7. Assemble your pastries: Place cheese mixture on one half of the dough circle, fold, and seal edges.
