Description
This delicious Chicken Marsala comes together in about 30 minutes and requires just one skillet for a quick and easy weeknight dinner that your family will love!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 4 medium skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup Marsala wine
- 1/4 cup cooking sherry
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients. In a shallow dish or bowl, mix together the flour, salt, pepper, and oregano. Dredge those chicken pieces in the flour mixture until they’re nicely coated.
- Melt the butter in olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Place the chicken in the pan and lightly brown each side for about 4-5 minutes.
- Turn the chicken over and toss in the sliced mushrooms. Stir occasionally and let them mingle with the chicken for about 2 minutes.
- Pour in the Marsala wine and cooking sherry, scraping the bits off the bottom of the pan. Cover the skillet and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, turning the chicken once.
- Plate the Chicken Marsala and drizzle the sauce over it. Serve hot and enjoy!
