Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (12 oz)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line three baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and sea salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time and mix in the pure vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until well combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Roll dough into balls and place them on the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between them.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until lightly golden brown. Do not over-bake.
  9. Let cookies cool on the baking pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.
