- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup caramelized onions
- 1 cup shredded cheese (Swiss or Gruyère)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, caramelized onions, shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic powder, dried thyme, and salt and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
