Easy Garlic Butter Rice

Description

This incredible Garlic Butter Rice comes together in about 30 minutes all in one pot for a quick and easy weeknight meal that your family will love!


Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 1/2 cups long grain white rice or white jasmine rice
  • 2 1/4 cups low-sodium chicken broth or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon table salt
  • Chopped, fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a 4- or 5-quart saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the finely minced garlic and cook for 30 to 45 seconds, stirring constantly until fragrant.
  3. Toss in the rice and cook while stirring frequently for about 1 minute until evenly coated.
  4. Add the broth or stock and salt, stir well, scraping bits off the bottom.
  5. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then cover with a lid and reduce heat to medium-low to maintain a simmer.
  6. Cook for 16 minutes without peeking under the lid.
  7. Remove from heat and let it rest covered for 5 to 10 minutes.
  8. Fluff the rice with a fork and sprinkle fresh parsley on top to serve.

Notes

You can swap the rice for brown rice or quinoa, adjusting the cooking times as necessary. This dish can be customized with leftover veggies or proteins for a heartier meal.
