Description
A hearty and creamy ground beef stroganoff that comes together in about 30 minutes, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients

- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 medium onion, diced
- 1 lb mushrooms, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt, adjust to taste
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper, adjust to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a heavy, deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and let it warm for a minute.
- Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic, stirring until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5 more minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Sprinkle in flour and stir until fully incorporated, ensuring no lumps form.
- Slowly pour in beef broth, deglazing the pan, then add heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper and bring to a simmer; let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in sour cream until well combined. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve over egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
