Description
This Denver Steak Recipe comes together in about 20 minutes and is cooked on the grill for a quick and easy meal for the family.
Ingredients

- 2–4 Denver steaks (1¼–1½ inches thick, 10–11½ ounces each)
- Kosher salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Steak butter (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the grill by turning all burners to high, closing the lid, and preheating for about 15 minutes.
- Brush the grill grate clean to avoid sticking.
- Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season each steak with kosher salt and black pepper.
- Place the steaks on the hotter side of the grill and grill uncovered until browned, about 3 minutes.
- Flip the steaks and continue grilling for another 3 minutes.
- Transfer the steaks to the cooler side of the grill and flip every 1.5 minutes until the desired doneness is reached:
- For medium-rare (125ºF), grill for about 3–4 more minutes.
- For medium (130ºF), grill for about 5–6 minutes.
- For medium-well (135ºF), grill for 7–9 minutes.
- Remove the steaks from the grill, top with butter if desired, and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Great for meal prep; pairs well with sides like grilled veggies or mashed potatoes. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
