Description

This Denver Steak Recipe comes together in about 20 minutes and is cooked on the grill for a quick and easy meal for the family.


Ingredients

  • 24 Denver steaks ( inches thick, 1011½ ounces each)
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Steak butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill by turning all burners to high, closing the lid, and preheating for about 15 minutes.
  2. Brush the grill grate clean to avoid sticking.
  3. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season each steak with kosher salt and black pepper.
  4. Place the steaks on the hotter side of the grill and grill uncovered until browned, about 3 minutes.
  5. Flip the steaks and continue grilling for another 3 minutes.
  6. Transfer the steaks to the cooler side of the grill and flip every 1.5 minutes until the desired doneness is reached:
  7. For medium-rare (125ºF), grill for about 3–4 more minutes.
  8. For medium (130ºF), grill for about 5–6 minutes.
  9. For medium-well (135ºF), grill for 7–9 minutes.
  10. Remove the steaks from the grill, top with butter if desired, and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Great for meal prep; pairs well with sides like grilled veggies or mashed potatoes. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
