- 1 package of gyoza wrappers (about 300g)
- 300g ground pork or chicken
- 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Water for steaming
Instructions
- Prepare the filling by combining ground pork (or chicken), chopped cabbage, green onions, grated ginger, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and seasoning in a bowl.
- Assemble the dumplings by placing filling in the center of gyoza wrappers, moisten edges with water, and fold to seal.
- Fry the dumplings in vegetable oil over medium heat until the bottoms are golden brown (about 2-3 minutes).
- Steam the dumplings by adding water to the pan, covering it, and cooking for 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
- Crisp them up by cooking for an additional minute after steaming.
- Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
