Description

A delicious and comforting Japanese Hamburg Steak made in one skillet, perfect for busy weeknight meals.


Ingredients

  • 250g ground beef
  • 250g ground pork
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Mix the ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, egg, breadcrumbs, soy sauce, and seasoning in a bowl until well combined. Form into patties.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat, and cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
  3. Mix the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and sugar in a bowl for the glaze.
  4. Serve the cooked patties with a drizzle of the sauce, and enjoy with rice and steamed vegetables.

Notes

These patties can be customized with different ground meats or added vegetables. They store well in the refrigerator for 3-4 days and can be frozen uncooked for up to 3 months.
