Description
Delicious and quick feta rolls baked to golden perfection and drizzled with a sweet and spicy chili honey sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped dill
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- 16–20 sheets frozen phyllo dough, thawed
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing
- 1 tablespoon salted butter
- 1–2 teaspoons chili flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seed
- 1/3 cup honey
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine crumbled feta, chopped dill, and grated garlic.
- Drizzle olive oil in a small bowl for brushing. Take one sheet of phyllo dough, fold it in half crosswise, and brush lightly with olive oil.
- At the short end of the phyllo sheet, spoon in about 1 rounded tablespoon of the feta mixture and roll it up burrito-style, sealing the edges.
- Repeat the rolling process until all phyllo sheets are used. Brush the tops of each roll with olive oil.
- Bake for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- For the chili honey drizzle, melt butter and olive oil in a skillet, add chili flakes and cumin, and stir for 1 minute.
- Pour in honey and stir until combined, allowing the mixture to simmer for about 4 minutes.
- Drizzle the warm chili honey over the feta rolls and serve while warm.
