Oven Fried Feta Rolls with Chili Honey

Description

Delicious and quick feta rolls baked to golden perfection and drizzled with a sweet and spicy chili honey sauce.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped dill
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • 1620 sheets frozen phyllo dough, thawed
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter
  • 12 teaspoons chili flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seed
  • 1/3 cup honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine crumbled feta, chopped dill, and grated garlic.
  3. Drizzle olive oil in a small bowl for brushing. Take one sheet of phyllo dough, fold it in half crosswise, and brush lightly with olive oil.
  4. At the short end of the phyllo sheet, spoon in about 1 rounded tablespoon of the feta mixture and roll it up burrito-style, sealing the edges.
  5. Repeat the rolling process until all phyllo sheets are used. Brush the tops of each roll with olive oil.
  6. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. For the chili honey drizzle, melt butter and olive oil in a skillet, add chili flakes and cumin, and stir for 1 minute.
  8. Pour in honey and stir until combined, allowing the mixture to simmer for about 4 minutes.
  9. Drizzle the warm chili honey over the feta rolls and serve while warm.
