This mouthwatering Caramelized Pulled Beef Brisket is a true crowd-pleaser that comes together in just 10 minutes of prep time and simmers away in your slow cooker.


Ingredients

  • 34 pounds beef brisket
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Trim and dry the brisket, patting it dry with paper towels.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the brisket on all sides for 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from skillet.
  3. Sauté onions in the same skillet for about 5 minutes until softened, then add garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
  4. In a bowl, mix beef broth, brown sugar, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, cumin, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
  5. Place the brisket in a slow cooker, cover it with sautéed onions and garlic, and pour the sauce on top.
  6. Cook on low for 8 hours until the brisket shreds easily with a fork.
  7. Let the brisket rest for 30 minutes, then shred with two forks.
  8. Serve on a platter and drizzle with extra sauce.
