Description

These delicious Rice Patties come together in about 30 minutes and are perfect for a quick weeknight dinner. Versatile and customizable, they are sure to be a family favorite.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 0.5 small onion, chopped
  • 0.25 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 pinch onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cooked rice, chopped onion, shredded cheese, beaten egg, minced garlic, salt, red pepper flakes, black pepper, parsley, and onion powder. Mix until well combined.
  2. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Shape the chilled mixture into patties, about ½ inch thick.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry the patties for about 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.

Notes
