- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Sesame seeds for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking pan.
- Warm the milk in a small saucepan until lukewarm.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar and melted butter until smooth.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, stirring well after each addition.
- Stir in the lukewarm milk and vanilla extract until just combined.
- Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, then gently mix in the grated Parmesan cheese.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
