Description

Mouthwatering smoked party ribs come together in about 3 hours with delicious smoky flavor that will make your family run to the dinner table!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Racks of Ribs (baby back or spare)
  • 1 cup Favorite BBQ Rub
  • ¼ cup Yellow Mustard
  • 2 oz Pendleton Whisky (or apple juice)
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 2.5 tbsp Favorite BBQ Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 tbsp Hot Sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the ribs by removing the membrane and cutting them into singles. Slather with mustard and season with BBQ rub.
  2. Fire up the smoker to 250°F.
  3. Get smoking by placing ribs on the grates until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (about 1.5 hours).
  4. Add ribs to a foil pack with whisky and other crutch ingredients and smoke for another hour.
  5. Remove the foil and let ribs cook uncovered for another 30 minutes for caramelization.
  6. Let the ribs cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with coleslaw, baked beans, or cornbread. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator and reheated in the smoker or oven.
