- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 box (6 oz) Stove Top stuffing mix
- 1 cup water or beef broth
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- ½ cup chopped onions (optional)
- ¼ cup grated cheese (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the stuffing mix and your choice of water or beef broth. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes to soak up moisture.
- Add ground beef, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix gently until combined, avoiding overmixing.
- Transfer the mixture to the loaf pan and press gently into shape.
- Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top as a glaze.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let it sit for 5-10 minutes before slicing to hold together better.
