Description

This easy Texas Roadhouse Seasoned Rice comes together in 30 minutes! A flavorful, versatile dish that is perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 2 cups Long Grain White Rice, rinsed
  • 1 Small White Onion, diced
  • 1 Tablespoon Paprika
  • 2 Tablespoons Dried Parsley
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat until bubbly, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add the rinsed rice, stirring to coat in the butter, and cook until lightly browned, about 4-6 minutes.
  3. Add the diced onion, paprika, dried parsley, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Stir until onions are translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth, mix well, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 22-25 minutes.
  5. After simmering, turn off the heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes.
  6. Uncover, fluff the rice with a fork, and serve.

Notes

You can substitute butter with olive oil, and chicken broth with vegetable broth for a vegetarian version. Feel free to add leftover vegetables or adjust spices to your liking.
