- 1/2 cup Butter
- 2 cups Long Grain White Rice, rinsed
- 1 Small White Onion, diced
- 1 Tablespoon Paprika
- 2 Tablespoons Dried Parsley
- 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)
- 4 cups Chicken Broth
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat until bubbly, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the rinsed rice, stirring to coat in the butter, and cook until lightly browned, about 4-6 minutes.
- Add the diced onion, paprika, dried parsley, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Stir until onions are translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in the chicken broth, mix well, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 22-25 minutes.
- After simmering, turn off the heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes.
- Uncover, fluff the rice with a fork, and serve.
Notes
You can substitute butter with olive oil, and chicken broth with vegetable broth for a vegetarian version. Feel free to add leftover vegetables or adjust spices to your liking.
