Ingredients

  • 1 package egg roll wrappers (about 20)
  • 1 pound protein of choice (ground pork, turkey, chicken, or vegetarian)
  • 2 cups shredded vegetables (cabbage, carrots, green onions)
  • 3 tablespoons creole seasoning
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of pepper
  • Minced or powdered garlic
  • Dipping sauce (spicy ranch or soy sauce with sriracha)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the protein over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until crumbly.
  2. Add the vegetables and cook for another 4-5 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in the creole seasoning, cooking for an additional 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Assemble the egg rolls by placing about 2 tablespoons of the filling on an egg roll wrapper and rolling tightly.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C) and fry the egg rolls for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Serve warm with your dipping sauce.
